  • How to apply for visa

     

    If you are traveling to one Schengen country, you should apply for a Schengen visa at the Embassy/Consulate of that country.

     

    If you are going to visit more than one Schengen country, you should apply at the Embassy/Consulate of the Schengen country which is the main destination of your travel.

     

    If the schedule of your journey does not indicate the main destination of your travel, you should apply for a visa at the Embassy/Consulate of the Schengen country which you will enter as first during your trip.

     

    In case of transit by only one Schengen country, you should apply at the Embassy/Consulate of that country. If you travel in transit through several Schengen countries you have to apply at the Embassy/Consulate of country you will enter as first during the transit.

     

    The application for a visa should not be made more than three months before the planned journey.

     

    If you already hold a valid Schengen visa in your passport, new Schengen visa cannot be issued.

     

    Please note that the passport submitted with the visa application must meet the following requirements:

    a) Its validity should extend at least three months after the planned date of departure from the Schengen area,

    b) It should contain at least two blank pages,

    c) It shoud have been issued within the last 10 years.

     

    For persons included in the aplicant's passport, a separate Schengen visa application form should be submitted. An individual visa sticker will be issued for each person included in the applicant's passport.

    For minors, a visa application form should be submitted and signed by a person exercising permanent or temporary parental authority or legal guardianship.

     

    Applications should be made in person at: The Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Budapest (Városligeti fasor 16, 1068 Budapeszt, nearest tube station: Bajza utca).

     

    Remember to bring application form and ALL required documents to the Embassy on the day of your visit!

     

    Please note that the Embassy does not bear any responsibility for the travel tickets bought before the issuance of visa.

     

    Please make sure you have all required documents before you visit the Embassy as incomplete applications WILL NOT be accepted!

     

    The additional documents may be requested at any stage of the procedure.
